Walkway & Path Tile FAQs

What tile works best for a garden walkway or front path?

For walkways and garden paths, 2cm MSI porcelain pavers are a practical choice, because they are freeze-thaw stable, low in water absorption and high in slip resistance for wet foot traffic. Natural stone pavers such as travertine, granite and bluestone offer a softer, organic look. Both are on display at the ANVE showroom in Paramus, NJ.

Are porcelain pavers slippery when wet on a path?

MSI porcelain pavers are made with a high-slip-resistance surface, which helps footing on walks and steps that see rain, sprinklers or morning dew. Because paths carry direct foot traffic, slip resistance matters more here than on a purely decorative surface. You can compare paver textures in person at the ANVE Paramus showroom.

Can I use Belgian block cobble for a border or edging?

Yes. ANVE carries a single Belgian block cobble intended as a border and edging accent, ideal for framing a walkway, defining a garden bed, or creating a mow strip along a path. Treat it as an accent piece rather than a full field surface, and pair it with porcelain or natural stone pavers for the walking area itself.

What is a stepping-stone run and which pavers suit it?

A stepping-stone run is a line of spaced pavers set with planting or gravel between them, letting you cross a lawn or garden bed. Plank-format and square porcelain pavers both work well, as do natural stone units for a more rustic look. The gaps between pieces double as drainage-friendly joints.

How thick are the porcelain pavers?

MSI porcelain pavers are 2cm thick, a robust profile designed for exterior paths and patios. That thickness lets them be installed pedestal-, gravel- or sand-set depending on your base and layout. You can see and handle the 2cm profile at the ANVE showroom in Paramus, New Jersey.

Do natural stone path pavers need sealing?

Yes. Natural stone pavers such as travertine, granite and bluestone are porous and generally benefit from sealing to resist staining and weathering on a walkway. Porcelain pavers, by contrast, have low water absorption and do not require sealing. ANVE can walk you through the care difference between each material.

Are these outdoor pavers available to buy right now?

These outdoor pavers are currently on display at the ANVE showroom as a preview collection and are not yet available to order. You are welcome to browse the full range in person at 129 E Route 4, Paramus, NJ, compare materials, and plan your walkway so you are ready when ordering opens.

Can I match a walkway to steps and borders?

Yes. Because the range spans 2cm porcelain pavers, natural stone and a Belgian block cobble accent, you can carry one material across your walk, step edges and borders, or contrast a porcelain path against a cobble edge. Bring your path dimensions to the ANVE Paramus showroom to plan the transitions.
